Through storytelling, I help individuals and brands transform their identities and embrace their full potential.
I believe that people and organizations can become whatever they choose from the moment they declare it and act on it. Identity is not fixed. It is shaped by intention, belief and the stories we tell ourselves and others.
My philosophy is rooted in the power of self perception as the greatest driver of change. Whether working with individuals or companies I am committed to helping uncover and shape identity through storytelling until belief aligns with reality.
I value authenticity growth integrity compassion and purpose driven transformation.
It all started in Johannesburg, South Africa. I walked into a public relations and branding lecture at Monash South Africa. Helena Van Wyk, the lecturer, spoke about the psychology of perception. In that moment, my mind lit up. I discovered a world where stories shaped everything.
That lesson changed my life. It showed me that perception is not just what people see but what we create. I knew I wanted to shape narratives and build brands.
In 2017, I got my first job as a brand strategist with a startup. From there, I worked on campaigns, brand activations, and PR strategies. Each project sharpened my skills in brand strategy, personal branding, and political strategy.
This is where my journey began. And it was only the beginning.
Branding was never just a job for me. It was an obsession. For seven years, I studied the psychology of branding and image engineering. I wanted to understand how perception works. I wanted to know how people connect with brands and how stories shape influence.
My journey started in the tech industry. I helped build a business brand from the ground up. That experience taught me how brands grow, adapt, and position themselves in a competitive market. From there, I moved into public relations. I took on a new challenge in reputation management for politicians.
I worked on political campaigns, shaping narratives and building public images. I helped leaders create messages that could stand the test of scrutiny. Every project taught me more about influence, strategy, and the power of perception.
Branding is more than visuals and messaging. It is about identity, trust, and storytelling. My journey through business, tech, and politics has reinforced one truth. Perception is power, and those who master it shape the world.
I started as a scriptwriter and creative writer. My imagination was vivid and powerful. But I struggled to connect those far ideas with my real life. I lived mostly in my head, unsure if my stories had any real value.
That changed when I walked into a Public Relations and Campaigns lecture. The lecturer said, "We decide what the public sees, interacts with, and makes decisions about." She explained how the world runs on layered narratives. The best storytellers shape culture and lead change. That moment gave my imagination a new meaning. I saw that if I followed this path, my stories could make a real difference.
Soon after, I joined a PR and communications firm. My first major project was with Flour Mills of Nigeria. They were celebrating 50 years of impact in the Nigerian food sector. I was still learning, but I contributed in big ways. I wrote interview scripts for top executives, created mood boards and concept notes for visual content. For the first time, I used my creativity to speak to a large audience. I had a clear goal, to tell the client’s story with meaning and excellence.
In February 2020, I saw a photograph that changed my life. It showed President Olusegun Obasanjo in a powerful agbada, standing next to President Jimmy Carter. Obasanjo stood out. He looked proud, royal and deeply African. That image made me ask, why does Africa have such a poor global narrative? I began to dream of changing that. I saw fashion as a language and storytelling as the tool. The idea took root. Four years later, Ó kọyọyọ was born.
Ó kọyọyọ is not just a fashion brand. It is a call to reinvent yourself. We help people take back control of their story. We remind them that they are not what the world says they are who they choose to be. Our mission is to help you become your own storyteller.
The journey has had many challenges. The biggest one was finding people who shared my passion for excellence. Many were okay with average work. But I realized that change must start with me and my team. Before we speak to the world, we must first become the standard we preach.
The vision is clear. We want to build a sustainable brand that celebrates the effort behind transformation. Like Nike, we honor the journey of becoming. Like Hermès, we stay rooted in our culture and use it to shape the future. Our goal is to export African identity and give the world a new view of our story.
We are not just making clothes. We are shaping how the world sees us.
Now that you know a lot about me, let me know if you are interested to work with me.
